We offer in-person sessions in the Whatcom County area. You'll be welcomed into an inviting safe space to express your thoughts and emotions freely.
Unable to make it to an in-person session? No worries... we'll use Zoom! We will use whatever art supplies you have on hand... no need to purchase anything special.
Life gets messy sometimes.
Art therapy makes it easier to process your thoughts and feelings by getting them out of you and onto paper. You'll feel better too!
After you make the initial appointment, you'll receive intake and consent forms to complete before your session. For online appointments, once your completed forms are returned, you'll receive a link to the Zoom session.
Yes, we do take insurance! Please contact us to see if your insurance is accepted.
This intake session is where you'll get to tell your story... why you are seeking therapy. You'll be asked questions in order to better assess your needs to come up with a treatment plan. You're welcome to ask questions, as well. This can be a vulnerable moment and we'd like you to feel as comfortable as possible.
We'll start out with relationship-building art therapy exercises. This is to create a sense of comfort with the process and clinician. Art experience is not required. Art therapy is about the process, not the product. No masterpiece is expected.
Your art therapy treatment plan will be created especially for you to reach your individual treatment goals. We'll work at your pace, taking each step when you're ready.
Sometimes all you want to do is talk about your issues, your bad day, or an argument with a loved one. We can absolutely do that! Our ears and hearts are open.
